Run for a vacation-hope

Maybank is looking for participant to be selected for BII Bali Marathon 2014! Once the advertisement is posted on e-news, Chong happily tell me about it. So, I registered and I called the event organizer to get to know more details about it. Those selected candidate will be sponsored to Bali Indonesia to participate in BII Bali Marathon 2014 representing Maybank Malaysia team. Accommodation provided, flight provided. And it’s going to be a 4D3N in Bali. It’s a free trip!! Wow, definitely trying hard to fight a place. That is what I had in mind. Had been excited through out the whole day.

Although its’ selection date is only few days away from Tioman Eco Challenge, I still decided to go for it. Who knows I might make it maybe?

And so, after finished work on Friday, I packed my bag and caught a night bus heading to KL. Reached KL central at 3am in the morning, hugging my backpack at taking a nap at McDonald while waiting for Chong to pick me to Bangi. Why on earth do I like to torture myself in such a time-packed schedule lately? In the condition of lack of sleep, and long stretch of body stamina require activity?

Well, reached Maybank Bangi at last. Gonna run 25 lapses of 500m on a grass combi track road track. Tiring.. but I am glad, I had Chong right beside for the last few lapses. It is a motivation-companion that kept you moving. He did it up to voluntary basis to run extra 2 lapses with me. Touch. I am very glad and lucky to have such a good friend beside. But why, most good buddies are in KL? Hmmm? Felt like giving him a hug after the race completed, but didn’t made it at last. Still, I appreciate him a lot.

Are we getting there? Well, I don't put in hope that much. Still, I made sure I completed the run and not dropped out half way. I definately don't want two DNF title within a short period of 7 days time. Haha.. Die die also must run finished the course.

Finished the run, went to Kuchai Lama for a brunch, headed to Puduraya to take a bus back Penang. Thanks Joe for fetching me to the bus station. It was on that very day itself I knew that he is such a great gentleman. Haha.

From departing my house on 16th May 2014 @ 2100, having completed a 12.5km run and reached home on 17th May 2014 @ 1945, all in 24 hours time. I must be insane!! Haha..
